is now better equipped than ever to deliver high-performance air handling solutions. The company recently moved into a new 50,000-square-foot facility in Sinking Spring, Pennsylvania鈥攕hared with Seibu Giken America鈥攚here DST now handles all production, including larger and more complex units, under one roof. The move marks a major step forward in efficiency, testing capabilities, and collaboration with key partners like Coward Environmental Systems, Inc. (CESI).

鈥淭his new facility gives us the ability to build all of our units on-site, even the larger and more complex systems,鈥 said Quinton Taylor, Sales Engineer at DST. 鈥淚t鈥檚 fully equipped for electrical testing, including voltage testing, which really streamlines our process.鈥

Now it’s easy for DST America to work on even more large-scale projects under one roof. The team has plenty of room and updated resources to produce high-capacity systems more efficiently than ever. The facility also offers easier access for long-time partner Coward Environmental Systems, Inc. (CESI), a key benefit that continues to strengthen their decade-long collaboration.

鈥淲e鈥檝e always had a great working dynamic with CESI,鈥 Taylor notes. 鈥淭hey鈥檙e practically in our backyard now, which means they can stop by anytime we鈥檙e working on a shared project. It鈥檚 a huge advantage.鈥

A Pharma Cleanroom Solution with Real-Time Adaptability

One of the first major projects manufactured in the new facility was a pharmaceutical client requiring a custom solution for their cleanroom environment. DST supplied a Flexisorb RLF84 unit to deliver ultra-dry air across the tops of vials to accelerate drying time鈥攁n essential process for sterile pharmaceutical packaging.

鈥淭his wasn鈥檛 just a typical build,鈥 Taylor explains. 鈥淲e produced the unit during our transition into the new facility. And CESI was able to bring in one of their engineers during production, which made the coordination even stronger.鈥

The project, which took approximately four months to complete, exemplified the agility and responsiveness that DST and CESI bring to client work. Originally specified to run Modbus communication, the control protocol for this project had to be changed on-site to BACnet鈥攁 shift that could have delayed work. But thanks to the flexibility of the DST team, the switch was handled smoothly during installation.

鈥淚t wasn鈥檛 a challenge in the traditional sense,鈥 Taylor says. 鈥淭he challenge in our work is usually narrowing down the client鈥檚 real needs. In this case, we just adjusted on the fly. That鈥檚 what working closely with CESI allows us to do鈥攚e problem-solve in real-time.鈥

Strong Foundations, Shared Success

The relationship between DST and CESI is rooted in over 10 years of close collaboration, shared goals, and mutual trust.

鈥淐ESI is one of our biggest and most dependable distributors,鈥 Taylor adds. 鈥淲e complement each other well. They know our systems, they know what to expect, and they consistently go above and beyond for the client.鈥
